Adult child reunited with a parent in New Zealand

Parent Resident Visa

If you have an adult child in New Zealand who is a citizen or resident for at least 3 years and earns enough, they might be able to sponsor you to live there permanently.

Your child has to meet a minimum income threshold and be ready to support you financially for the first ten years. Every year, only 2,500 parents get approved, and the selection is random.

The process is pretty complicated, so it’s a good idea to seek professional advice to make it smoother.
